The first results are in from Denver County and are showing Josh Sharf with an early lead against Rima Sinclair in the race to be the Republican candidate for HD-6:
Joshua Sharf: 69%
Rima Sinclair: 31%
Unfortunately, Denver County has oddly neglected to indicate how many precincts have actually been counted so there is no way to tell when counting will be complete.

Joshua Sharf, blogger and candidate for HD-6, has uploaded video of Rima Barakat referring to Israelis as "baby killers" several years in an interview with KCNC. This would seemingly poke holes in Rima Barakat's attempted defenses in today's Rocky Mountain News in which she outright denies bashing Israel and "forgets" a number of her past statements:

Yes, I'll be spending my summer just about the last way I thought I would, petitioning on to the ballot to force a primary, and then going on to represent the party in the fall election.
No, the blog's not going away. If anything, it's going to become more important, as a sounding board for ideas and issues. And as important as this race is to me, what profiteth it man if he gain the nomination and lose his personality?

It is imperative that Sharf wins the nomination over Barakat. The last thing the Colorado GOP needs is to put up a Hamas sympathizer up as a candidate.
