Please note, in reaction to a coordinated astroturfing campaign taking place in the Colorado blogosphere, Rocky Mountain Right has updated its site policies for commenters and diarists. Please review our new rules on sockpuppets, spammers, and astroturfers which are in effect starting now.
Rocky Mountain Right's policy on sockpuppets, spammers, and astroturfers (AKA "The Cleve Doctrine")
While this site encourages advocacy of candidates, attempting to register multiple usernames to leave comment spam in favor of one will not be tolerated; especially if such efforts are occuring across multiple sites. Derailing unrelated conversations in an attempt to promote a token candidate will not be tolerated and comments to that effect will be deleted with no warning from this point on. Users with accounts newer than six months old will be terminated if they are found to be engaging in astroturf campaigning (taking advantage of online anonymity to give the false illusion of widespread support for a candidate) on this site. If you want to support your candidate, fine, if you want to engage in a coordinated effort across the blogosphere to create smoke and mirrors then you should start your own blog instead of piggy-backing on others.
Other site rules and policies can be found here. Please note that this policy only applies to those engaging in an coordinated effort directed by a campaign to create false impressions of grassroots support, not to independent supporters of Republican candidates.
