Opening the site, one is greeted by this joyful message: Welcome to “Crash the TEA Party” and then the lies start.
I have this sinking feeling that this is a parody website and I'm looking really foolish right now for not getting 'the joke'.
But seriously, what is this?”
Couldn't you get a quote from bill ayers or jeremiah wright?
lol. The Tea Party is your worst nightmare. You and your parents may even eventually have to get a job.

After reading the shocking results of a recent Rasmussen Reports poll, and reading into the apparent continuation of partisan politics on steroids from Barak Obama, it appears “the times they are a changin’ dramatically.” In Rajjpuut’s not-so-humble opinion, President Barak Obama, the Marxist Ideologue, has so badly MISread the mood and concerns of the American people that he and his administration are on the verge of losing all hope of governing effectively. For example, the upcoming “summit” on health care is likely to see :
First of all, today the Democrats rolled out their second stimulus package (the third overall counting the stimulus passed during the Bush administration. They’re calling it a “jobs bill” but it’s a stimulus, of course, though it has absolutely no provision for cutting taxes, encouraging small business or getting the federal government out of the private sector's way. This shows the administration and his Democratic majority in the house and senate are totally out of touch with what Americans want from their government right now . . .
Secondly, there are the poll results from consistently accurate and incisive Rasmussen reports: 75% of likely voters now say they are at least “somewhat angered” by our government’s current policies; 45% of these likely voters say they are “very angry” at the current government policies. Both numbers are up 9% since a similar poll in September. Only 19% say they are “NOT angry at all,” a figure that’s dropped 11% since September. The frustration expressed comes from a feeling that neither Republican nor Democratic leaders understand what to do about our present situation and how to do it according to 60% of the voters. That number has risen 8% since September. It’s fair to say that many Americans are concluding or about to conclude the political system is broken. Many feel that the most powerful politicians are very corrupt and the majority are somewhat corrupt and neither major political party has the answers needed
Male voters are much angrier than females; voters earning between $60,000 and $100,000 are more frustrated than any other group. 89% of Republicans are angry; 78% of unaffiliated voters are angry and 61% of Democrats are angry . . . Republicans are three times more likely to be “very angry” than Democrats. The most telling divide according to the Rasmussen poll, however, is between the “political class” and mainstream voters. 88% of mainstream voters are “angry. In fact 57% of the mainstream voters call themselves “very angry.” In contrast 51% of the political class voters are NOT angry at all.
The defining characteristic between the political class and the mainstream for those who’ve been under a political haystack for the last decade is that the mainstream voter believes he, or any honest intelligent person, could do a better job than the politicians and the political class believes that the politicians actually know best and do their best with what they know. When it comes to just that simple belief, older voters and high income voters are most consistently likely to doubt the politician’s knowledge or will. Our journalists as a class are about 85% members of the political class.
Specific issues that rile the mainstream voters are Obamacare; the second $787 Billion stimulus orchestrated by the president and their feeling that it was totally ineffective; the bailouts of the banks and the auto companies GM and Chrysler; and a general feeling they trust their own economic common sense far above that of the politicians in all these matters. For example, 49% of all voters worry the government will try to do to much while only 39% fear it won’t do enough. 59% believe cutting taxes is a better job-creating tool than increasing government spending and raising taxes but 72% expect the nation’s elected politicians to increase spending instead.
83% of Americans say the size of the federal budget deficit is due more to the politicians unwillingness to cut spending than to the taxpayer’s reluctance to pay more taxes. 71% of Americans view the federal government as a “special interest group”*** and are skeptical about their government.
These (statements here below) are the facts, Mr. Obama, accept them and work with them or deny them and get yourself impeached:
1. A good percentage of the people are now “awake” in a way they haven’t been in years and angry at the politicians in general and you and your cohorts in the administration and leading the senate and house.
2. We want responsible government, fiscal responsibility at the top of the list.
3. We want policies that refund taxes and eliminate taxes on businesses and individuals until about 11 million jobs are created and the current crisis is ended.
4. We understand that Social Security and Medicare right now are a combined $100 TRillion UNfunded liability; we understand that adding the federal government’s part of Medicaid puts us at an UNDERfunded total liability nearing $108 TRillion. We want this growing debt and our growing deficit taken care of.
5. We expected to see the government get lean and trim as you promised; instead you’ve increased government by almost 15% since you came into office. Government jobs and the government taxes needed to fund them destroy the ability of the real economy to create 2-3 jobs each. A moratorium on federal taxes for about three years is needed.
6. Ultra-centralized power in big spending, big government brought us to this point. Time to unravel this mess.
7. Earmarks need to be eliminated from all federal projects. Begin the process of creating a constitutional amendment to clean up the government in this way
8. The federal government is slow, often stupid and redundant and highly inefficient, here’s a place where one of your “think-tanks” might actually do some good. Get on it.
9. We need real REFORM from the bottom up. Just as we suggest you ditch the 5,000 pages of Obamacare and instead come up with a 100-page bill that will REFORM health care payment in this country . . . a bill that can pass the senate by 95-5, we also suggest another think tank to remodel and streamline this godawful government so that it becomes responsive to the people.
10. We need you to take the words “emergency” and “crisis” out of your vocabulary and just become the people’s servant. You have abused these two words to begin moving us toward a Marxist state and toward making the U.S. Constitution irrelevant, undo every foolish move you’ve made since you came into office starting NOW.
If, despite saying “I am NOT an ideologue, I’m not,” you, Barak Obama, show yourself unwilling to turn from the extreme left and moderate your views for the good of the country, IF you continue to step upon the U.S. Constitution, the wealthy, the mainstream, the elderly, the Republicans and the Unaffiliated you will not have a country supporting you to govern but rather a bitter and contentious mob.
Ya’ll live long, strong and ornery,

*** Here are the three questions, Rasmussen uses to label voters as “mainstream” or part of the “political class”:
A. Generally speaking, when it comes to important national issues, whose judgment do you trust more - the American people or America’s political leaders?
B. Some people believe that the federal government has become a special interest group that looks out primarily for its own interests. Has the federal government become a special interest group?
C. Do government and big business often work together in ways that hurt consumers and investors?
Each “YES” response earns a +1; each “NO” response earns a -1. To be labeled “mainstream” takes a +2 total or higher; to be labeled “political class” takes a -2 total or lower.
A working definition of "conservative" would be trusting in the Constitution and traditional American values. A working definition of "liberal" would be trusting in the good that comes from an active, big government's contribution to every day life. While the people are far more liable to call themselves "conservatives" rather than "liberals" (42% to 21%); mainstream journalists are overwhelmingly calling themselves "liberal" (about 68% to 9%), so a lot of the frustration comes from the sense that both the politicians and the media seem to feel they "know better than we do, what's good for us."
at the American Taxpayer
Think of it as a government propaganda agency designed to convince a doubtful American public of the absolute validity of global warming "science." It's called the "Federal Climate Service" and it's just one more Barak Obama GSB (government spending boondoggle) coming your way courtesy of "the Chicago Savior's" progressive^^ upbringing, one more way to bankrupt America and drive socialism down our throats. Could this be the inane straw that breaks the taxpayers' backs? Here's how it works . . .
^^Progressive sounds so much better than "Marxist," doesn't it?
Q: You young pantywaist! Are you drinking a hot cocoa?
Secret service agents in parkas, ski pants and ski masks come rushing over from the three burning oil drums on the White House lawn, but Barak Obama waves them away . . .
A: (Chuckles) Of course not, anyone can see this is a heavily-iced liberal lemonade. Good to see a fellow sun enthusiast out for a walk. Lemonade? Or would you prefer a popsicle? Say is that a Russian Wolfhound?
Q: No lemondad, Sir. Yes, indeed, a pedigreed Wolfhound, I find her coat absolutely luxurious, “Here, Pelosi, here girl!” (skinny old Hertz, shivering like crazy takes refuge in Pelosi’s coat for warmth).
A: A beautiful animal indeed, have you heard about our new bill aimed at providing veterinary care for all Americans?
Q: No, Sir. Say, am I seeing things, Mr. President, or is that steam coming off your body?
A: What steam? Did you just call that dog, Pelosi? You named a female dog after our Speaker of the House?
Q: Yes, sir, Mr. President.
A: Just between us sunbathers, sometimes I have to stop myself from strangling that senile old bit- myself, well, you understand.
Q: Yes, sir.
A: This is just the sort of day to take my mind off global warming. I can’t really afford to do that, of course, we definitely need that cap and trade legislation passed immediately to turn things around here on all these horrible heat waves, just have to end the Republican carbon dioxide contagion . . . ouch!
Q: I can see that . . . say, that sure looks like steam . . . and your body, good gravy, you’re absolutely buff now, not the emaciated scarecrow you usually are . . . what’s going on here?
A: Look who’s talking about skinniness old man, ah, ooh, ah . . . well, I think I’ll grab my robe and popsicles and head back inside . . . YEOOOOW! Oh, my Marxist Momma, help me, quick, somebody help me!
Secret service agents come running over to aid the president who’s “buff suit” has caught fire from some sort of internal heating device. Three other secret service agents from outside the fence guide our reporter away shivering madly . . . another secret service agent sees our camera and heads this way, interview ended as we abandon the scene . . . .
Nevertheless, the Obama administration is without fanfare, surrendering control over the web to foreign powers. Without American ingenuity and investment of the American taxpayer, no internet as we know it today would exist. Our control “imperative” is via management and control over the Domain Name System (DNS) and the humongous servers that service the present internet. Global coordination of the entire internet on behalf of the U.S. Dept. of Commerce is locked into a system of internet protocol resources. Without an IP address and all these other internet protocols, a person or nation would have no access to the internet itself. Allowing foreign powers that control is definitely NOT in the best interest of the United States. For example, let’s say that China or its buddy Iran wishes to black out information on internal squabbling or the quashing of dissent within its borders, what could be simpler than to simply put the whole system on the fritz until such a time as they felt open communications offered no threat to their perceived interests? The Chinese have already demonstrated the most sophisticated national hacking capabilities of any entity in the world. Obama’s actions will certainly make it much easier for the Sino-fox to dominate the world's and America's henhouses.

Barak Obama’s divided loyalties and the incompetence of those making decisions for us, those he has appointed to lead the country, are quickly bringing the United States of America to untenable and almost irreparable weakness. Throw in the abdication of all journalistic ethics and responsibility by the unceasing Obama-worshippers of our mainstream left-wing media and the apathy of grassroots Americans and it’s becoming more and more clear day by day that the nation is on the brink of the eve of destruction.
Two days after securing the 60 votes in the Senate needed to shove his health-care monstrosity down the throats of unwilling American voters, Barak Obama found himself with an immediate public relations nightmare. Although only 41% of American voters considered Obamacare desirable and 57% opposed it, Harry Reid and the president appear to have won the senate support necessary to obtain a 60-40 victory along party lines. It appears the backlash is immediate and angry.
According to Rasmussen Reports Mr. Obama’s Strong Approval-Strong Disapproval rating among respondent Americans has set new lows for the second straight day. Today, Tuesday, December 22nd, among the nation’s voters only 25% strongly approved of the way Obama is performing as president while 46% strongly DISapprove giving him a presidential approval index of -21% after first hopping to a -17% rating yesterday.
The -21% disapproval rating is the lowest yet recorded for Mr. Obama and yesterday’s -17% disapproval had been the second lowest recorded up till then. Mr. Obama who only last month showed strong approval from Black voters of roughly 80% and two weeks ago had their strong approval to the tune of 74%, now only attracts strong approval from 58% of Black voters. The disclosure yesterday that Harry Reid’s senate health care bill will allow ACORN funding was met by dismay by a large majority of Republican and unaffiliated voters.
A majority of White voters (53%) now strongly DISapprove of his performance. Overall 52% of all men and 39% of women strongly DISapprove of Obama’s performance. Republicans (74% strongly DISapproved) overall disapproved 88%; while Democrats (47% strongly approved) showed 77% overall approval; while Independents (52% strongly DISapprove) gave Obama 62% DISapproval.
Obama’s overall approval rating is at 43% and overall DISapproval is 56% but it is the strength of the DISapproval and its rapid rise in the last two days that is most shocking. These last two days have marked the first time the president’s strong DISapproval rating ever climbed above 42%, an apparent immediate backlash to Reid’s and Obama’s "public opinion be damned" tactics and the likelihood that Obamacare legislation would eventually be passed . . . .
The only shining star in Obama’s universe is that 51% of Americans still blame George W. Bush for the economic mess while 41% put the blame on Obama himself. As understanding of Obama’s and ACORN’s role in orchestrating the Cloward-Piven strategy of undermining the country with sub-prime housing loans to illegal aliens and others of questionable qualifications or obvious financial handicaps (and thus bringing on the collapse) has become better known over the last four months, Obama’s “savior” image has weakened mightily. Only lately has Obama’s overall approval rating consistently slipped below 47% and it’s now stayed there eleven days in a row.

Americans have a bad habit of thinking not only that everybody else should be like us, but far too often assuming that every well-educated charming person in the world, IS fundamentally just exactly like us in thought, actions and goals. In the case of Barak Obama, however, never has this American tendency toward gullibility been more misplaced. Barak Obama is as different from the “common American people” he professes to care about as venom is from water. Can this be so? If there is any truth to the old adage, “the fruit never falls far from the tree,” it is so.
By some “hook,” but mostly by a lot of “crook,” Barak Obama is making good on his threat to “fundamentally transform America.” That is, to transform America into his vision of America, not yours. Thanks to the reverence accorded him by the left-leaning mainstream media, very little is actually known about Obama, their president, but certainly not Rajjpuut’s and hopefully (as more and more Americans learn more and more about him from background, action and inconguency of his words) not your president either.
He was elected to the senate in late 2004. He then began running for the oval office almost immediately and resigned from the senate without serving even a full three years there, being absent from an incredible amount of senate votes and voting “present” on numerous occasions in the nominal 46 months he was in office. When he did cast an actual substantive vote, he piled up a record even left of Ted Kennedy. His speed in hopping from the senate into the oval office and also the shimmering cape of invisibility and benign nostalgia covering his early life makes Barak Obama the largest enigma that has ever occupied 1600 Pennslyvania Avenue.
Obama completed two autobiographies before he completed twenty months in the U.S. Senate, though in truth “Dreams of My Father was definitely written by Bill Ayers, the convicted bomb-planting terrorist who up until Obama decided to put more troops into Afghanistan ten days ago considered Barak Obama a close personal friend (Ayers recently helped lead a protest over "the surge" through the streets of Chicago). Ayers finished compiling, writing and editing Obama’s book from a pile of notes and transcribed interviews and it was published in the middle of 1995. The story of how Ayers’ authorship was discovered, years before Ayers himself admitted it can be found here:
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=79392
An incredible amount of “Barak’s adventures, comments and observations” seemingly came directly from three of Ayers’ own books with only slight dilution. The job was made easier because Ayer began his own career (as a radical left-wing activist) as a Cleveland community organizer. Both Ayers and Barak Hussein Obama, Jr. apparently learned a lot from the mistakes of his father Barak Hussein Obama, Sr. The elder Obama lost his powerful post in the fledgling Kenyan government because according to Barak, Jr.’s half sister “He couldn’t keep his mouth shut” about transforming Kenya into Marxist Eden. Barak, Jr. has not made that same mistake . . . he’s never openly admitted that he sees himself transforming America into a communist paradise, nor for public consumption ever admitting to socialistic, Marxist or communist leanings.
It’s not known if the credit goes to Ayers or Obama or both for failure to mention that Barak Obama, Jr.’s mother was a communist, his father whom he communicated with often (despite the mainstream media’s implication there was almost no contact between them) until the older man’s death, was a communist and most importantly his grandfather and the people his grandfather brought into the household to enlighten Barak were quite famous communists like Frank Marshall Davis the poet and briefly later in Chicago Saul Alinsky, the author of “Rules for Radicals.” Marshall counselled Barak both in Hawaii and later in Chicago and with his grandfather, mother and father brought the most enduring influences to young Barry (he did not like the name 'Barak' early on and attended college as 'Barry Soweto' taking the surname of his mother's second husband an Indonesian Muslim businessman).
His grandfather Stanley Armour Dunham who arranged Obama's mentorship chiefly by Frank Marshall Davis, was, of course, also the father of and chief inspiration for Barak Obama’s mother whom he named after himself, Stanley Ann Dunham. Marshall advised Barak to be very careful around Whites, since “they can only understand so much” about the Black struggle “the rest is lost on them.” And from early on mother, grandfather and the poet Marshall had him understanding, the evils of capitalism and our American society based upon evil capitalism. Later Barak, as a community organizer taught courses based upon Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals." Unfortunately, while Alinsky was too free a thinker to ever join anything where he wasn't pretty much in charge, whether it was Christianity or Marxism, Obama had long been a "true-believer" in the necessity for Marxism and he did everything he did truly believing that he was doing good for the downtrodden masses and army of oppressed workers and people of color.
His mother met Barak, Sr. at a Russian class at Hawaii U. Born a “red-diaper baby,” Barak, Jr., by the time he was in high school in Honolulu and met Barak, Sr. and spent a month with his father had undoubtedly spent at least a dozen years fighting communism’s “battle of dialectic materialism.” You can imagine young Barak being told repeatedly about “the mission;” "justice for the workers;” “the war between history’s oppressed and capitalism.”
By the time he met his father Barak, Sr., he’d probably heard the “hard stuff” about Marx, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Alinsky and just maybe about Cloward and Piven, names he could never speak openly except when among “fellow travellers. ”So great was Barak’s antipathy toward things capitalistic that in “Dreams From My Father” he tells about working at his only real job in the corporate world and feeling “like I was behind enemy lines” one of about thirty parallel constructions (some of them several paragraphs long) between “DfMF” and the books of Ayers. In any case, whoever wrote it, the line was in Obama's book.
Saul Alinsky was a communist-sympathizing community organizer and while exactly how much of a personal influence Alinsky was upon Barak is fairly debatable, one thing is certain, he was an important influence, if only by his reputation for audacious and highly imaginative ways of bringing the plight of the poor to the attention of the authorities and general public. Alinsky’s sense of America, however, is clearly not shared by Barak Obama. Obama took the infamous “Cloward-Piven” strategy that George Wiley used to bankrupt New York City, and almost the entire state, in 1975 and with his sidekicks from ACORN turned it upon the United States as a whole . . . while Alinsky apparently loved America while severely criticizing her inequities, Obama's patriotism is yet to be shown.
Once again Barak learned a valuable lesson from his father, while Wiley, Piven and Cloward openly bragged and documented their “feats” in putting six million extra people on the welfare rolls from 1967-1975 which they hoped would force the United States toward open revolution and definitely, they thought, force Congress into “redistribution of wealth” via enactment of a “guaranteed wage” law. Barak -- who with ACORN abused CRA ’77; and the ’92 Freddy and Fanny mortgage-guarantee acts to shakedown and blackmail lenders into forced home loans to ultra-high risk borrowers – was too wise to brag about his “accomplishments.” Certainly when Bill Clinton’s ’98 mortgage guarantee legislation and ACORN’s later tactic of enrolling illegal aliens for mortgage-guaranteed loans put the whole process on steroids . . . Obama’s earlier work lost much of its glitter but, doubt not, Barak Obama was a pioneer in putting into motion the process that brought America to its knees in 2008.
Most of those same laws are still on the books and ACORN is still enlisting foot soldiers (the poor) for the revolution with the same Cloward-Piven aims in mind. Thus Barak Obama believes he holds a “heads, I win, tails, you lose,” proposition in his hand. Plan A: his ridiculous economic measures not only gain unprecedented centralized power for the Democratic Party and himself but actually work and he is nominated for savior, etc. Plan B: still blaming the Republicans for the mess he and leftist Democrats created, the country can be totally bankrupted, most importantly the 50 individual states can be totally bankrupted making the term “United States” meaningless as all things shift to a powerful centralized government expected to save us all and even more quickly than we’ve seen so far . . . a Marxist totalitarian state is created, with guess who playing the role of Big Brother?
Ya’all live long, strong and ornery,
Rajjpuut
In another example of how liberals get their panties in a wad when they are challenged for the decisions they make, Ken Salazar resorted to name-calling and innuendo as he tried to defend the Obama Administration’s extremist energy policies.

Over the years, the Mafia has put down roots in many states and Metropolitan areas of America. Whether its New Jersey, New Orleans, Kansas City, or the unofficial Mafia Capital of Chicago, this organized crime outfit knows where it can grow and bloom. It is a cancer.
Denver and Colorado have never been fertile ground for the Mafia. We Coloradans like to think we are less prone to criminal influence. Whatever the reason, Colorado doesn’t take to organized crime and the Mafia knows it. Here it’s tough to even find an Alderman, let alone buy one. We have our problems but they aren’t the same problems you see in Kansas City or Chicago.
Last November, we selected a new U.S. president. On election day, Barack Obama defeated John McCain in Colorado and across America. He was inaugurated in January 2009. To get there, Obama had built his empire in Chicago, where Al Capone used to rule. Previously, he won an Illinois state senate seat and a U.S. Senate seat after his opponents mysteriously dropped out or suddenly had scandals explode in their face. Welcome to The Chicago Way.
After taking office as President, Obama brought in his cronies from Chicago, including Rahm Emmanuel and Jim Messina, his deputy chief of staff. Emmanuel and Messina are the new Chicago "muscle" for politics in the Obama age. A new, organized empire, Chicago style, was being formed.
On Saturday, September 26th, the Chicago Way ran into the Colorado Way.
With a thud.
After being roughed up by Emmanuel and Messina who first tried to buy him and then tried to politically whack him, U. S. Senate Candidate Andrew Romanoff appeared at a Douglas County, Colorado Democratic Fundraiser as their guest of honor.
Romanoff has visited voters in Douglas County numerous times along with the other 63 counties in Colorado. He has paid his dues and it shows. The event, held in a tavern in Castle Pines on short notice, was surprisingly well attended. Of late, Democrats have had to dodge the question "How is that Hope & Change thing working out for you?" With video of ACORN holding class on how to operate a house of prostitution, it has gotten pretty embarrassing to be a Dem. Not at this Douglas Fundraiser.
Romanoff told the crowd why he was running for U.S. Senate. At first, he was going to "sit this one out". A Fort Collins crowd turned that around. To keep him out, he was offered a cushy job in the Obama organized empire by Jim Messina. He turned the bribe down. Instead he announced his candidacy, and got rewarded by an endorsement of his opponent by President Obama within 24 hours.
Whack.
After all, the Chicago boys already have their hand picked candidate, Michael Bennett. That should be that and Colorado Voters shouldn’t be involved. To Romanoff the message from the Obama machine was Get Out and Stay Out. To Romanoff’s credit, he has Stayed In.
When asked about the risk of challenging this Organized Chicago Crowd over at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Romanoff answered "Barack Obama can’t vote in this senate election. Coloradans can." He brushed off the brouhaha about challenging Bennett. "Democrats are like cats. You hear a cat fight and think they are tearing each other up. Instead they are just making more cats."
The Fundraising event, held in a tavern in Castle Pines, was surprisingly well attended. Of late Democrats have had to dodge the question "How is that Hope & Change thing working out for you?" Not at this fundraiser.
Senator Bennett’s opinion concerning the unwashed masses we call the electorate could best be seen this August. During the congressional recess, Mr. Bennett held a town hall in a private home, by invitation only. This may be the Chicago Way, but it clashes with the sensibilities of the people of our state. 6th CD Congressman Mike Coffman, by contrast, held seven town halls across his district in August. Each one was publicly advertised, open to anyone, and no questions were out of bounds. That’s for one Congressional District.
Mr. Bennett’s territory covers seven Congressional Districts. Its tough to take the electorate’s questions when you are in a cronies’ private home with private supporters. But it is The Chicago Way.
Unfortunately for The Chicago Way, there will be a Democratic primary next August where the Dems will select their candidate for U.S. Senate. In one corner sits Andrew Romanoff, having successfully run for office four times to the state House. He finished his 4th term as House Speaker.
In the other corner, is Michael Bennett, never on a ballot, never held accountable by the public. In spite of his total lack of background, accountability, and experience as an elected public servant, Bennett has found himself anointed by Governor Ritter and Obama and Rahm Emmanuel and Jim Messina. He is our unelected, appointed junior U.S. Senator.
To pull an actual election primary victory off in the Chicago Way, it looks like ACORN will have to do a lot of "organizing" to create the votes needed to buy this one. Currently ACORN has three offices in Colorado. There may be a lot of overtime paid in primary season. That’s The Chicago Way.
Where is Elliot Ness when we need him? Come to think of it, Romanoff looks a lot like Robert Stack.

The U.S. Census keeps track of interstate movement of people in the United States. Last Year, the U.S. Census recorded the smallest number of people moving in fifty years, since 1959. At that time the total population was only 179 million. Last year, the U.S. Population was 304 million. As a percentage of population, interstate population movement last year was the slowest since the census began mapping this data.
Americans are stuck in one place and simply cannot move.
One reflection of this lack of movement is in the shrunken number of homes that are bought and sold. To move, a homeowner usually must sell his home and buy another. In Douglas County, Colorado, the number of sold homes has slowed to a trickle, reflecting a drop of 70% from only a few years ago. Douglas County residents, like all Americans, are stuck in one place and simply cannot move.
The traditional method for a homeowner to relocate is to put their house on the market, receive an offer, sell their home to someone else who gets a new mortgage, move and buy another home with a new mortgage of their own. This relocation scenario has played itself out countless times and the reasons for this movement are both sound and everpresent. Some common scenarios are:
**A couple have a new baby and want to move to a kid friendly neighborhood.
**A couple have simply outgrown their old home.
**An "empty nest" couple want to move closer to grand children.
**A couple need to relocate for work reasons.
**A couple divorce.
There are plenty more reasons that are personal to each homeowner. But what happens when the home sales system breaks down? Then people find themselves stuck in one place.
Right now we see the results of this home sales breakdown. Homeowners with stable lives simply wait for a thaw in the home sales market. They see that the home sales system isn't working and it would be fruitless and permanently damaging to sell into this broken market. Some homeowners find themselves forced to jump into the market whether they like it or not. They must sell at any price or face foreclosure and ruin. They consider short sales. They are not "willing sellers" and their homes are sold, if ever, to "willing buyers" who have motives distorted by the broken market. Its as if Fair Market Value has taken a holiday. The end result of this broken system is a steady downward spiral of home sale prices, home appraisal estimates, lifestyles, and hope for a better life.
This spiral must be broken. We are offering a solution.
On Tuesday, July 21, 2009, Robinson & Henry P.C. is inaugurating the Bankless Financing System or BFP for short. The BFP allows a buyer to buy and a seller to sell without need for a bank or mortgage company to be involved. Because of this, the broken components of the home sales system do not have to be a deal breaker. Issues such as a buyer's FICO score, a seller's appraisal, and thecredit crunch do not necessarily have to doom a home sale. People can move again.
Over the past few years, the media have conspired to force us into thinking of a home as a financial tool rather than as a place to live, grow and dream of the future. Many people got caught up in the rising tide of housing during these past go-go years and bought homes that did not address their actual needs. McMansions spread in Douglas County like weeds.
Deep down we all know what a home is. We have seen it on crocheted doilies, wooden plaques and magazines our entire life. Little mottos like "Home is where the Heart is," Dorothy clicking her heals and saying "There's no place like home". A home is not a piggy bank and frankly never has been.
Something has got to be done and we at Robinson & Henry P.C. want to help to fix this mess. In the past year, our office has written a number of stories concerning the housing problem. The prior stories include the following
The Real Estate Short Sale Dilemma
Why Banks don't have any Money

A BFP Story
To date all we have gotten from our president is a top down socialist waiting game. We believe it is irresponsible for us to continue to harp on this great and grave problem without offering a solution. That solution is here.
It is the Bankless Financing Program. If you or anyone you know is stuck in one place and simply cannot move, you might want to speak to a realtor about the BFP. You can get unstuck.

It has been over 230 years since the people of Boston rose up against the British and threw the English Tea into the harbor.
The spirit of "Don’t Tread on Me" is alive and well as Castle Rock held a Tea Party of its own which filled up Festival Park in Castle Rock. They don’t have King George to kick around any more but President Obama, Governor Ritter and Senators Udall and Bennett have given the citizens of Douglas County a lot of incentive to do some kicking of their own.
The July 4 Tea Party was put together by Town Councilman Paul Donahue who had a short two weeks from inspiration to execution to pull off the event. Speakers at the event included Castle Rock Mayor Randy Reid, Ryan Reilly, State Senator Mark Scheffel and others.
Donahue talked about his inspiration for putting on the event. " What is happening today is a big overreach by the Federal Government outside of the U.S. Constitutional boundaries set up by our founding fathers. With the Government’s Stimulus bill, Cap & Trade, and now Government run health care proposals, we have got to do something."
Donahue said people can start by not feeling they are alone. They can call their representatives and let their voices be heard. Donahue was encouraged in starting the event by the South Denver 912 Project. The 912 Project’s brochure states it "was designed to bring us back to where we were on September 12, 2001." The project’s symbol is the Unite or Die Snake printed in Benjamin Franklin’s newspaper in 1754. The article and cartoon was meant to underscore the disunited state of the British Colonies. The cartoon caught the attention of the public and was not only reproduced in other newspapers at the time, but reappeared in various forms at the start of the Revolutionary War.
Jon Wieland provided music for the event which ended with the huge crowd enthusiastically singing Lee Greenwood’s "God Bless the USA". Volunteers provided hot dogs, hamburgers and chips to the hungry crowd at no charge. The day was beautiful and truly carried out the spirit of the 4th of July.

In the depression era movie It's a Wonderful Life, Jimmy Stewart runs a building and loan company that suffers a run on the bank. He tries to explain to a depositor that the depositor's money is tied up in another customer's home. Even back in the 30's, banks didn't sit on money. They moved it by loaning deposits to others and making an interest spread profit for their efforts.
Here in the 21st century, banks still don't sit on their money. Starting in 2000, a new method of doing banking business came to the forefront. Instead of loaning a customer money and keeping the loan in-house, banks started moving aggresively into packaging the loans and selling them off to others. In the housing market, this took the shape of private mortgage-backed securities. The federal government has had similar programs since Fannie Mae (FNMA) was started in 1938 but this packaging always stayed within the federal system.
When private securities sales took off, they really took off. A trade publication, The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) keeps the data of the total amount of mortgage-backed securities that are issued and sold to investors. The numbers for private mortgage-backed securities from 2000 to the present are pretty sobering. Take a look.

You know, it feels good to be right sometimes. An AP article in today’s The Denver Post “Obama steadfast on stimulus” (http://www.denverpost.com/ci_12549572) shows Obama expressing disappointment in his government borrowing and spending program. An economic advisor for the VP is quoted as saying, “Now, looking back, it was clearly too optimistic.”
Hey guv, at least the guy creating those signs has job security!
What would a modern-day American Revolution or Civil War look like? The divide in this country is profound: it transcends state borders. Within each red state and blue state, there are red counties and blue counties, red towns and blue towns. Our neighbors display bumper stickers that reflect an entirely different ideology from our own. Our differences are not trivial like preferences for the various sporting teams. The crossroads our young country has arrived at is forcing us to choose a road, a single road, that either leads us to a world of Marxist socialism, with all its constricting oversight, risking von Hayek’s fear of tyranny, or we can choose the path towards capitalistic freedom, accepting all the risks and responsibilities that such a system requires; we cannot choose both roads.
Our differences divide us not just by borders, but by gender and age. It is not uncommon to find men leaning one way and women leaning another. Marxism feeds on emotions such as pity, envy, and Utopianism: these are primarily the emotions of the fairer sex. Many young men, eager to impress their girlfriends or girls they want to be friendlier with, will take up the young women’s emotional cause, like some clueless cavalier who fights for feminine affection rather than God’s truth. Capitalism, because it requires more study than gut feelings, is fighting a losing intellectual battle. How can capitalism’s stark truths compete with Marxism’s youthful irrational exuberance?
So, the lines are drawn and those lines are many. We face a civil war that pits not just brother against brother, but brother against sister, county against county, neighbor against neighbor. Even though many of us continue to interact with each other as if we were clueless about each other’s politics, we all know better. We snicker at one another when we walk away. The woman driving in a car with an Obama ’08 bumper sticker could very well be your co-worker. We pretend we do not know, yet we do know and it silently infuriates us.
With each new piece of bad news, with each loss of our retirement savings, with each new drop in the stock market, we are pushed closer and closer to the unthinkable: a Second American Civil War.
So, for the purpose of exploring a taboo subject, what would a second civil war look like given our current ideological demographics? Like all wars, a spark is first required to set off the internecine conflagration. Obama’s election provided the kindling, but the actions of him, Pelosi, Reid, and the fawning media have provided the fuel. What will be the spark: a rant by a CNBC reporter, a shooting, a bombing, an accidental shooting by some federal soldier in the same fashion as the Boston Massacre? The kindling is set under freedom’s logs, formerly the Tree of Liberty, chopped down by liberalism’s axe, dowsed with the fuel of Obama’s Marxism: what will be the spark that sets it all afire?
There are tens of millions of gun owners in America, most of them staunchly against Obama. Our military overwhelmingly favored McCain over Obama. Thousands of miles from our homes to Washington D.C. are reduced to a matter of hours away because of capitalism’s air transportation industry. When our patriotic forefathers pondered a revolution against the oppressive British Empire, they did so with the knowledge that they could not sail to England and invade the motherland. Today, patriotic citizens can purchase a one-way ticket for a mere few hundred dollars. They can even bring their guns with them. In other words, in a mere matter of hours, millions of outraged patriots can by-pass a war against their neighbors, against their brothers, against their sisters, and arrive on the steps of the White House and the Capitol, bearing their arms, shouting for freedom, assured in the righteousness of their cause, ready for a fight against an oppressive Marxist regime, confident in their numbers, ready to prove their convictions in justice, fairness, and patriotism. What would the politicians’ henchman do in such a scenario? We can expect a few shots fired, followed by the realization that they are fighting on the wrong side of justice and freedom and patriotism.
As in all wars, each side would reassure itself in the justness of its cause. But only one side can truly claim they have the Constitution on their side. Marxism is unconstitutional. This means a second civil war will eventually separate people along the lines of those who wish to preserve and adhere to our current Constitution, and those who wish to establish a new one. But, the latter will soon realize that the effort which goes into establishing a new constitution is not trivial and that getting each State to sign on to it is most difficult. This work has already been accomplished by Constitutional conservatives; history is on their side.
Violence against our brothers, sisters, and neighbors is regrettable and sad. But it is also regrettable and sad to continually hate each other. Dialogue between our dominant factions has broken down to one side grossly mischaracterizing the other. Obama, in his call for unquestioned acceptance of his so-called “stimulus” plan, has deceptively set up the debate to pit those who support his plan against those who wish to do nothing. By arguing in such a manner, he completely ignores the valid clarion calls from his political opponents to dramatically cut taxes and reduce government spending. Obama, by his own dishonesty, provides not only the kindling, but the fuel and match as well for a second civil war. If the people’s valid concerns are deceptively tossed aside by their very own leaders, we should not be surprised when the people decide that action, rather than words, is what is required to return this country to its constitutional roots. The pen is only mightier than the sword when the other side reads and acknowledges the words written by his opposition's pen. When the pen is ignored, the sword writes a universal language that no one can ignore.
